Overview

The Freight Inventory system allows commercial fishing operations to track and manage shipments of equipment, supplies, and other freight items. This centralized system provides real-time updates on package locations, shipping status, and delivery information.

  • Top Menu Bar: Access different sections of the Bristol Maps platform
  • Freight: Main inventory listing page (current page)
  • Conditions: View weather and sea conditions affecting shipping

Freight Inventory List

The main table displays all freight items associated with your account:

Column Description
Freight ID Unique identifier for the package (clickable for details)
Recipient Person or vessel designated to receive the freight
Status Current shipping status (EnRoute, LabelCreated, etc.)
Freight Type Category of freight (Net Bag, Letter, Other, etc.)
Destination Final delivery location
Current Location Where the package was last scanned
Public Notes Visible notes about the package contents
Processor Notes Internal notes for processing staff
Last Updated Date and time of the most recent status update
Tag ID RFID tag identifier if applicable

Table Controls:

  • Select items using checkboxes
  • Sort columns by clicking on column headers
  • Adjust how many rows display using the "Rows per page" dropdown

Searching and Filtering

Find specific freight items using these tools:

  • Search Box: Enter any text to search across all fields
  • Status Filter: Filter by shipping status (EnRoute, LabelCreated, Missing, etc.)
  • Type Filter: Filter by freight category (Net Bag, Letter, Other, etc.)

Managing Your Freight

Viewing Package Details

Click on any Freight ID to see complete details about that package, including: - Full shipping history - All associated notes - Contact information - Delivery estimates

Tracking Items

The system automatically updates the Current Location field when a package is scanned at various checkpoints. The Last Updated timestamp shows when the most recent information was recorded.

Problem Resolution

If a package appears in the Problem Packages section: 1. Check the Public Notes field for any special instructions 2. Contact your logistics coordinator if the issue persists 3. Use the package detail page to add additional notes

Understanding Package Statuses

Status Description
LabelCreated Package registered but not yet in the shipping system
EnRoute Package is in transit to its destination
Missing Package cannot be located or missed a scan checkpoint
Error Issue with processing or documentation needs attention
Delivered Package has reached its final destination

Problem Packages

The "Problem Packages" section at the top of the page highlights items that require immediate attention:

  • Missing: Packages that cannot be located or have not been scanned at expected checkpoints
  • Error: Packages with processing errors or issues that need resolution

You can filter problem packages by type using the dropdown menu. Clicking on any package card will take you to the detailed view for that item.

Troubleshooting

Cannot find a package? - Use the search function to look for partial information - Try searching by vessel name, destination, or tag ID - Check the Problem Packages section - Check with your fleet management team to ensure the freight is assigned to your account.

Need to update package information? - Click on the package ID to access the detail page - Use the edit functions on the detail page to modify information

Package shows incorrect status? - Check the Last Updated field to see when information was last refreshed - Contact your freight coordinator for manual verification
