Freight Inventory Guide

Overview

The freight inventory system allows you to track, manage and organize packages for the commercial fishing fleet. This system handles everything from package creation to delivery tracking.

Pick Lists

Managing Pick Lists

  • View active pick lists at the top of the page
  • Each pick list shows:
  • Pick list ID and creator
  • Creation date/time
  • Current status (Active, Completed, Canceled)
  • Statistics showing total items, picked items, pending items, and completion percentage
  • Click "View All" to see complete pick list history
  • Create new pick lists by selecting items and clicking "Create New Pick List"

Package Selection

  1. Use checkboxes to select individual packages
  2. Use "Select All" checkbox to select all visible packages
  3. Selected count shown at top
  4. Create pick list button enabled once items are selected

Package Management

Search & Filtering

  • Real-time search across all fields
  • Filter by status:
  • Enroute
  • LabelCreated
  • Storage
  • Filter by package type:
  • Box
  • Letter
  • Net
  • Other
  • Tote

Table Functions

  • Sort any column by clicking header
  • Toggle sort direction (ascending/descending)
  • Customize rows per page (25, 50, 100, 500)
  • Navigate pages using pagination controls
  • Click package ID to view full details

Data Export

  • Download filtered packages as CSV
  • Download all packages as CSV
  • Scan QR packages using device camera

Adding New Packages

Required fields: - Vessel Name - Destination - User Name - Current Location - Package Type - Notes (optional)

Best Practices

  1. Use filters to quickly locate packages
  2. Create pick lists for efficient package processing
  3. Keep package information updated
  4. Export data regularly for records
  5. Add detailed notes for special handling requirements
  6. Use QR scanning for fast package lookup

  • Use search to find packages across any field
  • Sort columns to identify patterns or prioritize work
  • Adjust rows per page based on screen size
  • Export filtered data for specific reporting needs
  • Add clear, descriptive notes to packages
