Tender Management Guide¶
Overview¶
The tender management system allows you to monitor and manage fishing tenders, including their status, capacity, deliveries, and communications with the fleet.
Features¶
Tender Search¶
- Use the search bar at the top to filter tenders by name
- Search is case-insensitive and filters in real-time as you type
Tender Information Display¶
Each tender card shows: - Tender name and quick links to map view and editing - Current capacity and fish onboard status with visual progress bar - Green indicator for normal capacity levels - Red indicator when approaching capacity limits - Capacity levels can be set on edit page - Delivery details with sortable tables showing: - Time of delivery - Vessel name - Pounds delivered
Managing Tender Status¶
- Select from predefined statuses:
- Delivering
- Services
- Buying
- Buying + Services
- Standby
- Traveling
- Headed Home
- Custom
- For custom status:
- Select "Custom" from dropdown
- Enter custom status text
- Click "Submit" to save
Notes Management¶
- Enter notes in the text area provided
- Click "Save Notes" to update
- System provides confirmation when notes are saved successfully
- Error messages display if save fails
Location Sharing¶
- Toggle "Transmit location to fleet" switch to control location visibility
- When enabled, tender location is visible to the fleet
- When disabled, tender location is hidden from fleet view
Package Management¶
Three options available: 1. View Packages - Shows current packages assigned to tender - Displays delivery status 2. Add Package - Create new packages with: - Owner information - Package description - Destination details 3. Transfer Package - Move packages between tenders - Track package chain of custody
Delivery Tracking¶
View delivery details by: - Expanding the "Delivery Details" section - Sort by clicking column headers: - Time (chronological order) - Vessel (alphabetical order) - Pounds (numerical order) - Sort direction toggles between ascending/descending
Adding New Tenders¶
- Click "Add New Tender" to expand form
- Required information:
- Boat Name
- Initial Status
- Description
- Click "Add Boat" to create new tender entry
Best Practices¶
- Keep notes updated with relevant information for fleet coordination
- Regularly check capacity indicators to prevent overloading
- Update status promptly to maintain accurate fleet information
- Verify package information before transfers
- Monitor delivery details for accurate record-keeping
Tips¶
- Use the map view link for quick geographical reference
- Keep descriptions clear and concise
- Monitor capacity bars regularly during active buying periods
- Update notes as conditions change
- Verify custom status entries before submission
