Sharing with a Processor

This is a separate share from group sharing. It sends your position to a processor and, if you choose, to that processor's tenders -- and unlike group sharing it can be set to expire on its own.

Two directions, two controls

The processor section on the Tools tab has controls for each direction. They are independent:

Control Direction
Show Tender Locations on Map Their tenders appear on your chart
Share My Location With Processor Your boat appears to the processor

Turning one on does not turn on the other.

Show Tender Locations on Map

A switch in the processor section. Turn it on to draw the selected processor's tenders on the chart. See Tenders in the App for what a tender pin shows.

Share My Location With Processor

This block only appears if the processor has enabled fleet location sharing on their side. If they have not, you will see the note:

This processor hasn't enabled fleet location sharing.

There is nothing you can do about that from the app -- ask the processor to turn it on.

When it is available, set two pickers and then tap Share My Location.

Option Description
1 hour Stops on its own after one hour
4 hours Stops on its own after four hours
8 hours Stops on its own after eight hours
12 hours Stops on its own after twelve hours
24 hours Stops on its own after a day
Until I turn it off No automatic stop
Exact time... Pick a date and time on the pickers that appear below

Once sharing is running, a status line under the buttons tells you where you stand -- either Sharing until you turn it off, or Sharing until followed by the date and time it stops.

Pick a time you'll actually finish by

Because the share carries its own stop time, the safe habit is to give it a duration rather than leaving it open-ended. If you pick Exact time... the app rejects a stop time that is already in the past.

Stopping early

Tap Stop Sharing With Processor. The share is removed and the app pushes the change up so the processor stops seeing you. You do not have to wait for the timer to run out.

One processor at a time

The share controls act on the processor that is currently selected. If you belong to more than one processor fleet, pick the one you mean in the dropdown first -- with All Processors selected and more than one processor on your account, there is no single processor to share with.
