Purchases (Fuel & Groceries)

Not App Store billing

This page covers fuel and grocery purchases from your processor. For app subscription billing, see Subscription & Billing.

Fuel and groceries your processor or tender charged to your account, with line items, running totals, and an unpaid balance.

Where to Find It

Tools > Sales

The tab only appears when your processor has recorded sales for your account. If you have never been charged for anything, it is not there.

The in-app description reads:

Grocery and fuel purchases charged to you by your processor or tender.

The Summary

Four figures across the top:

Figure Description
Total Spend Everything charged to you
Purchases How many separate purchases
Groceries Grocery spend
Fuel Fuel spend

Below them, an Unpaid Balance callout in orange. It is hidden entirely when you are paid up, so if you can see it, you owe something.

Recent Sales

A list of your most recent purchases. Each row shows:

  • The date
  • The amount
  • The type (Fuel, Groceries, or Mixed) and the tender name
  • The status -- Paid in green or Unpaid in orange

Tap any row to open the detail page.

Purchase Detail

The invoice number, a status badge (Paid / Unpaid), and the purchase type.

Sale Information

Field Description
Date Date of the purchase
Processor The processor
Tender The tender it went through
Vessel The vessel charged

Total

The Amount for the whole purchase.

Items

One row per line item, showing the item name, the line total, and underneath it the quantity and unit price -- for example 120 gal @ $4.85. The section header shows the count: Item for one, Items (n) for several.

Notes

Any notes recorded against the purchase.

Receipt

If a receipt was recorded, a 🧾 View Receipt button appears at the bottom. Tapping it downloads the receipt PDF if it is not already on the device (showing Downloading receipt...) and then opens it.

Check line items against what you took

Fuel gets keyed in by hand on a busy tender. The quantity and unit price on each line are the fastest way to catch a slipped decimal before it turns into an argument at settlement.

Full Analytics

View Full Sales Analytics opens the analytics page on its Expenses tab, with monthly spend charts.

Live Data Only

Purchases are fetched from the server each time you open the tab -- they are not stored on your device. You need a connection to see them, and to download a receipt.
