Restoring a purchase is behind Beta Options

Restore Subscription only appears once Beta Options is turned on. If you are locked out and cannot find it, enable Beta Options at the top of this page first, then scroll back down. See Access & Recovery.

Beta Options

Beta Options is the switch on this page that reveals in-development features elsewhere in the app, including Depth & Bathymetry, engine gauges, and voice tools.

Settings

Setting What it does
Beta Options Enabled Unlock experimental features, including Depth & Bathymetry and the diagnostics below.
Restore Subscription (beta) Re-validate your App Store / Play Store subscription if the app thinks it's missing. Tap the Restore Purchase button on this row.
Demo Mode (beta) Plays a simulated GPS track so you can see the map move without leaving the dock. It does not unlock the app without a subscription, despite the wording on this row.
Basemap Tile Caching (beta) Caches online basemap tiles to disk. Turn OFF to test whether tile-cache disk I/O is causing the pan/zone freeze. Restart the app after changing.
Pan Performance Logging (beta) Logs [PANPERF] UI-stall diagnostics to the device console (adb logcat / Xcode) so we can pinpoint what freezes the map. Restart, then reproduce the freeze.
Purchase Subscription Opens the subscription purchase flow.

Finding a setting fast

The Settings hub has a search bar at the top. Type part of a setting's name and it will jump straight to it.
