Navigation & Display¶
In the app: Settings > Navigation & Display -- "Map rotation, pins, units, heading line projection"
How the chart behaves and what it draws on top of itself: rotation, pin sizes, units, and the heading line projected ahead of your vessel.
Settings¶
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Allow Map Rotation | Let the map rotate with your device's orientation instead of staying north-up. |
| Don't Turn Off Display | Keep the screen awake while the app is open. Uses more battery. |
| Hide Nav Bars on Phones (Landscape) | Maximize map space by hiding the navigation bars when a phone is turned sideways. |
| Use Statute Miles (vs Nautical) | Show distances in statute miles instead of nautical miles. |

| Show Tide Stations | Display NOAA tide stations on the chart. Tap a station to view its tide predictions. |

| Location Sharing Interval (seconds) | Seconds between position updates sent to your fleet. Minimum 3 seconds. |
| Cloud Waypoint & Route Backup | Automatically back up your waypoints and routes to your account and keep them in sync across your devices. They don't need to be shared with a group to be saved. |

| Pin Font Size | Text size for pin and waypoint labels on the map. |
| Log Pin Size | Size of log entry pins shown on the map. |

| Heading Line Type | Project your path ahead by time or by distance. |
| Heading Time Frame | Minutes into the future to project your path (time-based mode). |
| Heading Distance | Nautical miles ahead to project (distance-based mode). |
