Get Started on Phone or Tablet

  1. Install Bristol Maps from the App Store (iPhone, iPad) or Google Play (Android). Open it and tap Get Started.
  2. Subscribe. Tick I accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, tap Subscribe ($200 / year), then Continue.
    • Paid before? Tap Purchased on the App Store? Restore (Google Play on Android) or Already subscribed? Sign In instead.
  3. Choose Your Area. Pick a Map Style and your Fishing Area, then tap Next. Crab pots offshore? Pick Bering Sea.
  4. Permissions. Tap Enable Location. Create Free Account is optional (it turns on fleet sharing, AIS, and log backup). Tap Next.
  5. Get Started. Leave Download recommended maps now ticked (Bering Sea has no box) and tap Finish Setup. The map opens and your maps keep downloading, so stay on Wi-Fi.

Bering Sea

No imagery downloads. Pot tracking is on: tap the crab button on the map to drop a pot. NOAA charts for the crab grounds (about 35 MB) download by themselves once you are on the map on Wi-Fi.
